Renovations to 370 Catherine Street.
Once this 40,000 SF office building as the new location for Social Services, a comprehensive programme of building renewal was undertaken, entire sections of the exterior skin of the building were removed and replaced. A state of the art curtain wall system was installed, dramatically improving the curb appeal of the building and increasing the amount of natural light for building occupants. Limited areas of designated substances, such as asbestos and mould were remediated.
From a structural perspective, major stairwells were reconfigured and new slab openings and shafts for two new passenger elevators were created. All existing mechanical / electrical systems and finishes of the building were stripped out and completely rebuilt.
The project proceeded under an aggressive schedule, and had to be completed in time to accommodate the move-in date stipulated in the tenant lease.
