Avaya Tenant Fit Up

425 Legget Drive

This 121,000ft² office and warehouse fit up is the second phase of the 425 Legget Drive renovations for Avaya Canada Inc. Having successfully renovated the base building, Lundy was selected by Avaya to bring the space up to their operational specifications.

The fit up includes open office space, multiple meeting rooms, and a client service centre with full A/V and IT support. Avaya Canada, a communications company, needed to fulfill very specific technological requirements; by working closely with Avaya to develop a detailed understanding of these requirements, we have given our client a space that they can be proud of for years to come.

The project was fast-tracked to ready the space for Avaya’s December move in, presenting our team with a number of phasing and coordination challenges that they met successfully.

Constructability Issues

  • The first milestone in the contract involved a number of development labs that required access flooring to be installed before the client could install their computer racks. Lundy oversaw the tender for the access flooring and coordinated with the electrical and access flooring subcontractors to fast-track the schedule and have the room ready on schedule. The milestone was met successfully and the access flooring value engineered so that the entire process came in under budget.
