Lanark House

Carleton University

This renovation and renewal project upgraded the architectural, mechanical, and electrical aspects of the Lanark House residence building, providing Carleton’s students with improved living and community spaces.

Lundy successfully kept to the fast track schedule laid out by the university in order to allow students to move into their rooms at the start of the new academic year.

Our project team worked closely with the design team and the university administration to make this renovation project a success for all parties involved.

Constructability Issues

  • When the work began, more asbestos was discovered on the site than was originally indicated and required additional reinsulation to the basement. Matiss Silins and Mark Schneider coordinated effectively with both Carleton University and the subtrade involved to ensure that the issue was resolved with maximum safety and minimal impact to the schedule.
